The Midway Police Department is asking for the community's help to support victims of crime.
The department is looking for volunteers for its victim services unit.
Volunteers will provide support and resources for those who have faced serious crimes, including domestic abuse.
They'll work with the police department and get training in victim advocacy, trauma, crisis response and more.
"It's important because we are trying to promote those services and give assistance to those who have experienced domestic violence, sexual batteries or even crimes that happen on a everyday basis," said Officer Melanee Gardner with MPD.
Applications are due by Friday, February 14th. You can find more information on the city of midway's website.
