You may have noticed a lot of people wearing red today.

It's all part of the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women Day.

More women die of heart disease than all forms of cancer combined.

The A-H-A wants women to share the truth about how to stop heart disease and take action to live healthier lives.

Quincy resident Cynthia Riley says, "I feel blessed to be wearing this color today, not because it's my favorite color, but because it means alot, people are taking notice, people are aware of the effect of the heart, heart disease."

Steps you can take to prevent heart disease are as simple as eating a healthier diet, getting plenty of exercise, and going to the doctor for regular check ups.
