Tallahassee, FL - City and state officials have teamed up in an effort to help some homeowners lower their utility bills.
Tallahassee Mayor John Marks and Florida Public Service Commission Chairman Ronald Brise accompanied a city crew weatherizing a home.
It's part of the city's REACH program that helps eligible utility customers save energy and money.
Ronald Brise, Florida Public Commission Chairman, stated, "with the REACH program, we're encouraging folks to do smart things within their house, simple things."
Tips include installing energy saving products, sealing leaks and turning off lights when you leave a room.
So far, the REACH program has helped more than three thousand local residents become more energy efficient.
