West Point Shooting Range Closed For Repairs

WEST POINT, Ga. (AP) -- A state-run shooting range in West Point will close temporarily for renovations.

The Department of Natural Resources says the shooting range at West Point Wildlife Management Area will be closed from June 19 through July 3.

Workers will be renovating the firing line shed and replacing shooting benches. The work is funded with tax money collected on the sale of ammunition, archery and fishing equipment.
