CANCELED | FROM CITY OF TALLAHASSEE: The Celebrate America 4th of July Celebration at Tom Brown has been canceled. The decision is due to continued weather and safety concerns. They have also said that the event will not be rescheduled.

CANCELED | FROM SOUTHWOOD WEBSITE: Due to rain, the 4th of July evening festival has been postponed until Saturday, July 6th. The fireworks will begin shortly after 9:00 p.m. The pool will be closing at 6:30 p.m. to prepare for the evening events. If you have any questions, call the HOA office at (850) 656-8750. CANCELED | Jefferson County High School - DUE TO WEATHER: The Monticello 4th of July fireworks show scheduled for tomorrow night has been re-scheduled for a later date.

FROM CITY OF QUINCY: In recognition of the 4th of July, there will all day event in downtown Quincy, from 9a.m. - 10:30 p.m. Activities to include, horseshoe tournament, bounce house, games and train rides for kids. There will also be a live band at 6 p.m., followed by a fireworks show at 7:30 p.m. Attendees can bring pop-up tents and lawn chairs.

Weather permitting – They will have live music from 5 local artists, with Billy Dean headlining. There will be food vendors, pony rides, bounce houses, and arts and crafts for the kids. There will be a Fireworks show. There is a $3 donation to join in the festivities.

Fireworks show on Marine Street at the mouth of the river - Fireworks begin at dusk; if weather doesn’t permit, show will be rescheduled for Friday July 5, 2013.

FROM CITY OF MIDWAY: The City of Midway will host their annual Independence Day Celebration and fireworks show at Midway’s new Fire Department Number 2, on Thursday, July 4, beginning at 5 p.m. There will be free food, music, games, a five on five basketball tournament and displays by the fire and police departments. Fireworks will start at 9 p.m. will be visible from the Hilltop City Park.


Valdosta, GA
The VLPRA Spirit of America Fireworks Extravaganza will take place on Thursday, July 4, 2013 at Nightfall. It is in the Norman Drive area on the eastside of I-75 near exit 18. Fireworks can be viewed at no charge.

Bainbridge, GA

At dark (approximately 9:30 p.m.) Bainbridge will feature southwest Georgia's largest fireworks display.

Thomasville, GA
Remington Park - At 6:30 p.m. the children's activities begin. There will also be food vendors on site, and the fireworks will start at 9:30pm.
