Valdosta, GA - It just may be the coolest way to cool off with summer right around the corner. "Splash Island" officially opened for the season Saturday at Wild Adventures.
There's no limit to the ways kids can get wet at "Polynesian Adventure". They can explore multiple levels of water slides, hoses and then there's that big bucket on top.
And that's just the beginning. There are enough big water slides and lazy pools to keep everyone happy.
"We are in love with it. It's fantastic. The lines aren't long. The rides are fantastic. The food is great. The workers are so sweet," said Jamie Aguilar, a parent out with her kids.
If you're looking for something to do with the whole family or even a group you can check out "Catch A Wave Bay". You can get on a raft or just swim. But watch out for those waves.
And if at some point the sun gets to be too much, you can rent a cabana complete with TV, Wifi and a mini-fridge.
"What's really great about Splash Island is it's included in your admission to wild adventures," said spokeswoman Micha Hogan. "It's really affordable for families. You just buy one ticket and you can experience everything. And in splash island water park you don't need to bring a tube or a chair, we have it all right here for you."
Right now, Splash Island Water Park is open Saturdays and Sundays.
But starting May 23rd the water park will be open daily for the summer until August 6th.
"Great family fun. And it's affordable too. We love it. So we'll be back many times," said Aguilar.
