ASHBURN, Ga. (AP) -- A woman is dead and two others have been taken to hospitals after their van blew a tire on Interstate 75 in southwest Georgia.
Trooper Brian Jobe of the Georgia State Patrol says the fatal crash happened Saturday morning at about 7:45 a.m. The driver of a Chevrolet van traveling northbound lost control after a tire blew out in Turner County northeast of Albany. Jobe says the van overturned and a passenger was ejected.
Jobe says the woman who died and two others injured in the crash were all women. Their names were not immediately released.
No other vehicles were involved. The Georgia State Patrol is still investigating.
