Bainbridge, GA- Folks who want to improve their job seeking skills, will now have a chance to do so.
Representatives from Bainbridge College are hosting a workshop Friday morning to help prepare job seekers for their upcoming 2013 Job and Career Expo.
The Georgia Department of Labor and employers from the area will be there to help edit resumes, and offer tips on how to dress to impress for an interview and how to improve networking skills.
Beverly Thompson, the Special Populations Coordinator at Bainbridge College said attending the workshop will help give job seekers a competitive edge in today's tough job market.
"If you make a good first impression, as far as your appearance and if you're well prepared as far as knowing how to search the companies that will be there, you'll have a real advantage over people that don't have that information," she said.
The workshop is scheduled for Friday, Jan. 18 at 10 a.m. at the Continuing Education Center of Bainbridge College.
The 2013 Job and Career Expo will be held at the Kirbo Center on the campus of Bainbridge College on Thursday, Jan. 31.
