Valdosta, GA - Moody Air Force base has opened a new multi-million dollar youth center.
That cash came in part from money that Moody generated from things like it's Bowling Alley and Spa. The youth center sits on about three and a half acres and is more than 30,000 square feet. It's got everything from a basketball court to a music room and a pretend kitchen. It will be for the children of Moody Airmen and employees who can spend time there both before and after school.
Dion Bass, Youth Sports and Fitness Director: "Childhood obesity is an issue here in America and so one of our main goals is recreational activities one that gets them up playing away from video games and TV and the facility and the programs that we have here will have them doing that without them even realizing that they're exercising."
It can accomodate more than 140 children. Those kids can start playing here first thing tomorrow morning.
