Updated: Sat 2:20 AM, Sep 15, 2012

Tallahassee, FL – September 13, 2012

Two men facing serious charges in one local county went before a judge September 13 - one is accused of murder the other for armed robbery. There are more than 50 pre-trial hearings, two of them for particularly violent crimes.

Anthony Michael Ortiz is accused of killing David Napier at his home in Suwannee County.
Ortiz was 16 at the time of the murder, but is being tried as an adult. Ortiz was able to get a continuation in his case. He has a motion set for November first, and his next pre-trial is November 8th.

Brandon Partin. was charged with armed burglary. His weapon of choice, deputies say, was a bow and arrow that he shot a dog with. It all happened at a Suwannee County home. Partin was 18 at the time. A juvenile was with him, so the court has to decide whether to charge him as an adult.
