A Tennessee teen charged with first degree murder makes his first court appearance today.

Jamar Siler has been accused in the shooting death of 15 year old classmate Ryan McDonald.

The incident happened in the cafeteria of Central High School in Knoxville.

Police say the suspect was arrested less than 10 minutes later. He was picked up on a street not far from the high school. Siler will be back in court next Thursday for a probable cause hearing.
