DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. (AP) -- Broward County authorities say
three juveniles are in custody in connection with an attack on a
15-year-old boy that left him hospitalized with severe burns.
The sheriff's office says the unidentified boy was sitting by a
swimming pool Monday afternoon when the attack occurred.
Officials say he was doused with a flammable liquid and intentionally set on fire.
Broward Sheriff's Office spokesman Jim Leljedal said the
seventh-grader suffered burns over 75 percent of his body,
especially on his torso and arms. Family members said most of his
hair, including his eyelashes, had been burned off.
Late Monday night, the sheriff's office said three juveniles
were arrested in the case. Their names and ages were not released.
