Access to health care is about to get easier for veterans in our region.
The Department of Veterans Affairs says it
will open a V-A hospital in Jackson County, Florida.
Services planned for the clinic include comprehensive primary
care, screening and prevention for mental disorders, psychotherapy
and laboratory services.
The department says it will be operational by October 2008.
The V-A says more than 75-thousand veterans live in north Florida.
