DADE CITY, Fla. (AP) -- A teen who shot a Pasco County deputy
during a convenience store robbery has been sentenced to 25 years
in prison.

A judge sentenced 17-year-old Antonio Lee Murray on Thursday. He
had previously pleaded no contest to attempted felony murder and
armed burglary. The judge chose not to sentence Murray as a
youthful offender, which would have capped his sentence at six
years.

Authorities say Murray and a friend, Robert Anthony Green, broke
into Sam's Quick Mart in Lacoochee in August 2008, but two deputies
responded an alarm while they were in the store.

Murray and Green reportedly fired out the store's front window,
hitting one of the deputies. The deputy survived thanks to his
bulletproof vest and metal business card holder.

Green also faces attempted murder and armed burglary charges.
