FSU Mag Lab Awarded 160 Million Dollars

The National High Magnetic Field Lab at FSU is getting more than $160 million.

The money is part of a five year renewal grant from the National Science Foundation. The lab is actually getting more money this time around to continue its various research done by users all over the world.

"We have users who come from all over the United States, really all over the world to do research on this as diverse as superconductivity, brain tumors, biofuels, an incredible variety of different projects," said Dr. Eric Palm with the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory.

The Mag Lab has been around for two decades.
