Make A Wish grants wishes to children with life threatening illnesses.
MAW had wish granting training in Tallahassee Saturday from 9 am - 2 pm at the Hampton Inn and Suites on Lonnbladh Rd. at Raymond Deihl Rd.
To receive the training each person had to complete an application and submit $20 to cover the costs for a background check, training materials and lunch.
MAW has to take these precautions (background check) because wish granters are working directly with the effected children. MAW has not had this training in Tallahassee in about 4 years, so this was an opportunity that may not come this way for a while.
