A single car accident in Wakulla county leaves one person dead.
Florida Highway Patrol was notified of the accident just before 8 this morning. 27 year old Michael Costigan was driving north on shell point road. Costigan went too fast around a curve and drove his car into a tree. Troopers believe he died on impact.
F-H-P Sgt. Richard Norris says the road has a low speed limit to help eliminate accidents on a curb like this one.
"Any curve and roadway has the potential to be dangerous, We ask that all motorist drive with caution and exercise the speed limit. The speed limit on this road is only 35 mph,” said Norris
Troopers say Costigan was not wearing a seatbelt.
