Tallahassee seeks Volunteers for the CARES Community Service Day

CARES Community Service Day will be held on Saturday, June 14, from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. The event will take place on Polk Drive near the Greater Love Church of God in Christ.

The goal is to connect South City residents with available community services and resources.

Volunteers are needed for the following:

Greeting Stations Attendants- will greet attendees, give out tickets and distribute event passports
Vendor Attendants- will assist vendors with set-up and operation at booths as needed
Farm Share Attendants- Help bag and distribute fruits and vegetables
Event set-up and break-down
Roaming volunteers- will greet event-goers and assist them with finding resources, vendors, bathrooms, etc...

Those interested can volunteer for the entire event or a part-time shift. Part-time shifts are:

Shift A- 7:30 a.m.- 10 a.m.
Shift B- 10 a.m.- 12:30 p.m.

The City of Tallahassee is asking interested volunteers to sign up no later than Tuesday, June 10.
