A Tallahassee man is behind bars for assault after deputies say he told them he thought it'd be 'funny' to throw an egg at a school bus driver.

The Thomas County Sheriff's Office says 19-year-old Gregory Ringheisen was arrested after he climbed onboard a stopped Thomas County school bus around 7 o'clock this morning and threw the egg, which first hit the driver on the shoulder, then splattered onto his face.

TSCO says when they caught up with the suspect, he told them he thought it would be "funny" to throw the egg and hit the bus driver.

Deputies say Ringheisen never attended a Thomas County school and was staying with a relative who lives in the county.

He faces criminal trespass and battery charges.

The driver was reported in 'good' condition after the incident.
