No, it's not fall yet, but Florida State fans headed to Doak Campbell stadium Saturday to watch the Seminoles' football team scrimmage each other for the first time since winning the National Championship in January.

"I think it's special because it's your first chance to see some of the new people," Jim Groot, an FSU football fan said.

Because of last year's championship season, fans say they have high hopes for this year.

"Take it Dallas to Dallas. Bring the 2014 championship back," Russ King, another FSU football fan said.

Even though it's the spring time it wouldn't be a football game without a tailgate.

Thousands of people came out before and after the game to spend some time with people they haven't seen in a while.

"It's a great opportunity to get all my friends together who we tailgate with during the season," Patrick Finan a Spring Game tailgater said.

Despite unveiling the Seminoles' new uniforms Friday, the team wore their old jersey's today.

But still the logo is something that's caused so much controversy even younger 'noles fans have an opinion about it.

"I like it but I don't like it as much as the old one," 7 year old fan, Ashlyn Andosn said.

It's a change that seems permanent now that the field is painted with the new Seminole head.

But most fans agree, they'll support their team no matter what.
