It's a big weekend for both the men and women's tennis programs at Florida State. The FSU men travel to play #1 Virginia while the women host the ACC Virgina schools this weekend. The Lady Noles have yet win in the ACC this year, but hope that changes this weekend.
FSU women's head coach Jennifer Hyde says, "Our seniors are leading the way very nicely. Jessica is about ot match the all-time wins list. Actually, if she wins this weekend, she will have the all-time wins list in the history of the program."
Jessica Sucupira will be going for win number 95 in her singles career, and that will be the most of any women's player in Seminoles history. It's a record that show the hard work put in since being a freshman.
Sucupira says, "When I first started four years ago, I really wasn't expecting to win that many matches because I wan't that good, but then when I got to college, Istarted winning and working harder."
She says she won't get nervous.
Sucupira adds, "I just take very match one point at a time and just play my game. Work hard and have fun out there."
She's certainly had fun 94 times before, and she's going to get more in the future.
