Quincy, FL - "I use the house concept because when you build a house that don't have the right foundations, it's going to sink. It's something I really believe in. You have to have a strong foundation."
That's Corey Fuller's concept as he takes over as head coach for East Gadsden High. The Jaguars have struggled the past couple of seasons, but already the Jags are felling a different presence on the sideline.
Jags senior-to-be defensive end Adam Powell says,"It's really like a new beginning. It's like everything is so much more organized, and we are really making improvement."
Coach Fuller is using a lot of his experiences in the NFL and in college so he's passing those tools to his players.
Fuller says, "I reference to a lot of things that I was taught at Florida State. A lot of great things. I think our kids will buy into it. They realize how hard you have to work to be a college player, but most of all, to be a young man in high school and learn the basics of growing up."
Senior-to-be linebacker Adrian Williams adds,"We've been going good. Everybody has been working hard and the tempo has been going up since last year. We got big plans this year."
To achieve those plans, the Jags have to follow Fuller's blueprint of starting with the foundation and build from there.
