From the FAMU archives comes The Mystique.

The web series highlights the things and people that have made FAMU athletics great.

This time of year, it can be difficult for universities to increase web traffic. Summer school is in and athletes are winding down.

Athletics Director, Derek Horne and the sports information team came up with a plan.

Every Monday through July, exclusively on FAMU's website, Rattler fans can tune into a new episode.

Week one shines a light on a running back duo from the 50's, best known as the Galimore-Frazier Express.

Bobby Lang played with the duo and narrates the first installment.

"Probably two of the greatest running backs that have ever worn Orange and Green," said Lang. "They could've been in my opinion still, the greatest running backs that I've ever seen, and I've seen a lot of them."

Horne said he wanted to capture the memories faithful Rattlers have, and help rekindle the pride of others.

"If you're ever around these individuals as you talk about Jake Gaither and Bob Hayes, it makes you feel like you're right in the room," said Horne. "We want to pull as many people as we can through their computers into that room."

A total of eight episodes will air. All have a unique person or group featured.

"Just to see the infectious spirit that goes around", said Horne. "Not only with alums and students but with people who really have an affection for FAMU and we're hoping the Mystique does that. Spreads it out and rekindles the spirits of some of those we've lost. There's a rich tradition here that a lot of people don't know about."
