Some might say that behind every great team are great equipment managers.
Well meet Eric Casto and Shelby Heffernan, the dynamic duo behind the FSU men's and women's basketball teams.
With 16 players on the men's team,11 on the women's and their coaches and managers, the team of two has its hands full.
"Try to be as organized as possible," said Casto. "Sometimes it's impossible, but you organize chaos, that's kind of what it is."
They pack everything for the players. All the players are responsible for is taking their shoes on the bus.
Eric works more than the average 40 hour week and Shelby juggles classes in the morning with games, practices and everything in between.
"I love working with the athletes," said Heffernan.
Each player has four sets of jerseys, four sets of practice gear, and other essentials.
That adds up to more than 1,500 loads of laundry these two wash each year for their Noles.
For men's basketball alone, they go through about 300 pairs of shoes between the guys and their coaching staff.
One player has easily gone through 8-10 pairs of shoes in one season.
But for Casto and Heffernan, it's a labor of love.
Shelby Heffernan said, "The athletes dedicate their time so I figure if they can do that then I can dedicate my time to them."
