Cody Harrison's inspiration was simple.
The 16-year-old drag racer said, "I'd seen drag racing on TV, then I thought about drag racing."
He's been racing since he was 13.
Now at the old age of 16, he has moved up to the big car as he calls it.
At more than 100 miles an hour only one thing drives him.
"It's fun and it gives the adrenaline of going down the track," said Harrison.
He's already been on the Speed Network.
He's just barely old enough to have a license, but he's placing 10 out of a field of dozens of much older competitors.
Technically the car he has just had repainted is a hand me down car.
However the youngest of three is using it to make a name for himself.
It's all second nature for teen who says he was born to race.
Revving engines flow through the Harrison veins. His grandfather owns Ed Harrison Auto Sales in Tallahassee. His dad, Ed Harrison Jr., since some of his own racing for fun back in his day.
Now Cody's adventure has become a family affair.
He heads to Cecil and Albany Georgia soon to pursue his dream.
For now he's taking it as slowly as a drag racer can, but he has dreams of being in a top fuel dragster with one goal in mind.
Cody simply said "Beating people," is all he wants to do.
