Tallahassee, Florida- September 6, 2012
For all you chicken lovers out there, you'll now have one more place in our area to get your Chick-fil-A fix.
Thursday Sept. 6 marked the grand opening of the Chick-fil-A restaurant located on West Tennessee Street.
Hundreds of people camped out over night to be the one of the first 100 people in the door.
Those people will receive one free Chick-fil-A meal per week for the next year.
Local students say they're happy about the new location.
"It's perfect," said Tony Lyas. "It's so convenient. It's right here, you know? I don't have to go all the way to Apalachee
Street and it's not out of the way anymore. I can catch it on the way to school."
The opening of the new restaurant has created over one hundred jobs.
Some more good news for students? The drive thru of this Chick-fil-A will be opened until 3 a.m. Monday through Friday.
