Leon County, Florida - April 6, 2011 -
Leon County announces the 11th Annual Summer Youth Training Program, designed to allow students to obtain work experience in a real-world environment. For six weeks, participants between the ages of 14 and 21 will be introduced to the workplace, gain valuable employment skills and earn a modest summer income.
Summer youth workers have the opportunity to gain experience in a variety of locations throughout Leon County, including Public Works, EMS, Parks & Recreation and other departments and divisions. There are 57 openings available, and positions will range from 18 to 25 hours per week and pay $7.25 per hour.
The 2011 Summer Youth Training Program is scheduled to run from Monday, June 13, through Thursday, July 21, 2011. The application window opens on Monday, April 11, at 8 a.m. and closes Friday, May 6, at 5 p.m.
