FSU's One Million Bones

A project underway at Florida State University seeks to raise awareness of genocide.
The Tallahassee chapter of One Million Bones is part of a national effort to raise awareness of the ongoing reality of genocide around the world.
Tuesday night the chapter will sponsor a panel discussion, "FSU Confronts Genocide." The discussion will feature Florida State University alumnus Stefan Schmitt. Schmitt is a medical anthropologist who heads the International Forensic Program of Physicians for Human Rights. He who has excavated mass graves in Libya, Afghanistan and Guatemala. Also a featured speaker today will be Terry Coonan. Coonan is the director of Florida State's Center for the Advancement of Human Rights.
Florida State University's College of Social Work doctoral student and instructor Jane McPherson will be a featured speaker. McPherson is the coordinator of One Million Bones Tallahassee.
