[UPDATE] TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – September 16, 2011 -
Firehouse Subs recently announced its partnership with Coca-Cola as the first chain to roll out the Coca-Cola Freestyle® fountains in all current and future locations.
The 10 Firehouse Subs in Tallahassee-area restaurants have now completed installation of the fountains and are celebrating by allowing guests to enjoy free drinks with no purchase necessary during a Happy Hour Event on Friday, Sept.16 from 4-6 p.m.
Happy Hour is an event introducing the Tallahassee community to Coca-Cola Freestyle, the newest concept in beverage innovation. Customers are invited to receive a free 22 oz. beverage cup and sample 120+ beverage brands at the event, trying their hand at mixing new favorite drink combinations.
“The first time we saw Coca-Cola Freestyle, we knew it would revolutionize the beverage industry and we welcomed a test with our partners at Coca-Cola,” said Robin Sorensen, co-founder of Firehouse Subs. “Customers rave about Coca-Cola Freestyle. It offers an interactive experience that when combined with our subs, is unmatched. We’re pumped to be the first national chain on the planet to bring the fountain of the future to all of our loyal customers.”
The single, freestanding unit is touch-screen operated and offers regular and low-calorie beverage brands, flavored waters, sports drinks, lemonades and other options, many exclusive to Coca-Cola Freestyle. Guests choose from endless possibilities, many never before marketed in the U.S., including brands such as caffeine-free Diet Coke® with Lime, Fanta® Peach, Grape Vault™, Minute Maid® Light Orange Lemonade and more. Firehouse Subs top-selling Cherry Lime-Aid®, an exclusive original recipe served with fresh squeezed lime, is one of the offerings on the fountains, making the chain the first to have its own signature drink brand on Coca-Cola Freestyle.
They're calling it the fountain drink machine of the future.
Over 120 different possible drink creations, and you can find it in Tallahassee at Firehouse Subs.
So you ask how does the machine work, how can you make so many different drinks from one machine?
You pick a main flavor, like sprite or coke then pick a flavor to add, if you want, like Strawberry, Peach, or Lime, then you push the round button, and drink it up.
They just got this fun drink machine on Sunday (8-28) and so far it's been a hit.
It's more than just fun though, Firehouse is trying to give more options to its customers, like flavored water. They're also offering a lot more diet and caffeine free selections.
The machine is also handicapped accessible, featuring a button closer to the ground that children can also use.
If you can hold off until September 16th, Firehouse is offering a happy hour where you can come to try the drinks for free.
