The Tallahassee store that sold a $50,000,000 Lotto ticket is getting their payoff. Florida Lottery officials presented a check to the Circle K on Capital Circle Northeast this morning.
Lottery officials awarded the Circle K a $150,000 bonus commission.
The store has sold thousands of Lotto tickets since the game started back in 1988. 54-year-old Richard McMullen was the one who bought the winning $50,000,000 ticket a couple of weeks ago.

The franchise owner doesn't have the ability to just 'give away' what is earned by the store. He must abide by has franchise agreement with Circle K and its Canadian parent company Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc. Shareholders own this company and make the decisions. If you want to make the call then head to the Toronto Stock Exchange and start buying shares.

It's me again, and math is difficult for some. $50,000,000.00(x).0025=$125,000.00, and not in fact $200.00. The tradition(was).0025 to the retailer, and the vendor sales person would recieve .001, equalling $1,250.00 of the benefit. Don't know how it is now, but that's old history. Thanx.

No, I don't know if it's in debt. If it wasn't I would consider a bigger bonus to the employees. I agree, owners take all the risk and should be able to do what they want with the money. However, as a business owner, I appreciate good employees and will reward them. You run your business, I'll run mine.
