US Airways announced today that it will expand service for its customers in Tallahassee, Fla. by launching daily, nonstop service to Reagan National Airport following the closing of its slot transaction agreement with Delta Air Lines.

US Airways wholly owned subsidiary PSA Airlines will operate service to Tallahassee on 50-seat Canadair Regional Jet (CRJ200) aircraft. Customers in Florida’s capital will now have access to Washington, D.C.’s downtown airport for the first time. The flight schedule is as follows.

Reagan National (DCA) – Tallahassee Regional Airport (TLH)

To support the expanded service, US Airways will add more gates at Reagan National, build a second US Airways Club conveniently located near its new departure gates and will hire approximately 125 airport customer service and fleet service employees.

This is wonderful news. Been taking the sideways thing for thirty years to save $$$! I drive to Jacksonville, go where I need to go and save $300.00. I took one from Norfolk to Jacksonville to Tallahassee for $150.00 less than to Tallahassee. If U.S.Airways wants non-stop to Reagan National, they'll have to charge somewhat less than $7,113.04! I'm just sayin'...
