Tallahassee, Florida - August 15, 2011 -

Prices at the pump seem to be declining, and we're doing a little digging to find out more ways you can save on gas.

Gas at the Shell station on the corner of Thomasville and Timberlane roads was $3.59 a gallon for regular at noon on August 15, that's 10 cents less than just three days ago. A worker at the station says there's even more ways to get more bang for your buck.

Wednesday mornings are the best time to gas up because there are fewer people driving midweek, so many stations drop the prices.
Plus, if you gas up early in the morning, the gas is more tightly compressed because of the cooler temperatures. That means you'll get more gas in your tank for the price.

Tonight on Eyewitness News, find out why gas stations change their prices up to three times a day.
