Tallahassee, Fla. – Beginning April 29th through May 3rd, Scottsdale Academy kids will be embarking on a local service project to celebrate their community. The local preschools are excited to support the Tallahassee Memorial Children’s Center by raising new toys for the pediatric unit.
Scottsdale Academy invites the local community to drop off, at either Scottsdale location, non-cash donations to support the TMH Children’s Center. Prominent among current needs are new toys for the TMH playroom, patient rooms and toy chest. Contribution suggestions include:
Teething Toys Bubbles
Onesies or Infant Socks Small/Medium Size Balls (Nerf or Plastic)
Matchbox Cars Pop-Up Books
Lego Sets Playdough
Toy Trucks or Cars

Scottsdale Academy is donating all items to the TMH Children’s Center on Monday, May 6th. The school hopes to bring some comfort to sick children during their stay and/or treatments at TMH.
“In the past we have taken part in charities that were on the national level and while it was for a wonderful cause, this year we felt led to support those children right here in Tallahassee,” said Jennifer Keister, Owner. “We are excited to be able to celebrate our community and lend a hand to our neighbors in need. Several Scottsdale families, both past and present have benefited from the expertise of the pediatric unit at TMH.”

The TMH Children’s Center focuses on newborns to adolescents in North Florida and South Georgia and is home to the only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit within a 100-mile radius equipped to care for critically ill children.
The goal in partnering with the TMH Foundation is to encourage “Kids Helping Kids” as well as learning about our city as the themed curriculum. Representatives will visit our students from various local community favorites including Mission San Luis, Tallahassee Museum, Tallahassee Nurseries, and the Downtown Farmers Market.
