Tallahassee, FL - The director with Workforce Plus says they have money to give away, but business owners should move fast to take advantage of a golden opportunity.

Workforce Plus says they have more than 750,000 dollars in grant funds to give local companies an opportunity to train existing employees .

Its part of the Incumbent Worker Training program. The money can be used to cover the cost of trainer's fees, curriculum development and text books.

Kimberly Moore, Workforce CEO, says, "Not only does it allow local business to retain the talent but it also allows them to remain competitive and that's something we definitely want them to be in the position to do."

Officials say there is no deadline, but interested companies should apply as soon as possible.

To qualify, businesses must have been open in Florida for at least a year and have at least one full time employee. To be considered, companies must complete the application process.
