Tallahassee, FL - 24 elite soldiers converged at Fort Lee, Virginia this week. They were there to compete for the U.S. Army's Best Warrior Competition. Sergeant Robert Keifer of Tallahassee was among the competitors. "To represent Tallahassee and my home state of Florida at this event. It's been very challenging physically and mentally and it's just been a really great experience overall," said Sgt. Keifer.

The competitors had to endure the Army's physical fitness test of push-ups, sit-ups and a two mile run. They also had to take a written exam and essay on general military topics. As well as negotiate a strenuous land navigation course, demonstrate a number of critical warrior task and battle drills and react to a mystery event.

When we spoke with Sgt. Keifer he was awaiting the announcement of the winner. The soldier who wins the competition will travel the country and represent the Army at special events throughout their reign.
