Better still, just close FAM all together.

If you want to stop hazing and hazing death SHUT DOWN all Greeks Letter Org on the FAMU campus. I think some are alright but lets just close all them down so FAMU would not deal with this no more. Choose Life or Legacy and Tradition.

I Agree with Future Rattler, You Ignorant people dont get it! What the media is portraying as the band is not the real band or school. Yess Those who were involved did mess it up, BUT there is NONE OTHER LIKE THE WORLD INCOMPARABLE MARCHING 100! Hazing or No Hazing it is an Honor to play in the Band at FAMU and attend FAMU, Cheifs dont compare, BCU doesnt compare and no other school compares! Please stop being so inconsiderate towards young people like me and FutureRattler! Go FAMU, And Bring THE #M100 BACK.!

You have to add the amount for the vacations for 457 people plus their expenses and health insurance coverage, meals, hotel rooms, chartered buses, settlement of wrongful death suits, and salaries of Teachers whom are teaching faux students. We are looking at one of the largest cases of fraud in history.

The MAJORITY of the funds that it takes to run FAMU comes from the taxpayers.

You are equating murder as a mistake? Wow, I bet the defense wants you on the jury. And yes, the administration and the band needs to go. It was the eliteness of the band that fostered the atmosphere of overlooking what the band did that led to all this. They knew about the hazing. They knew about the non-students. They knew about the financial improprieties but administration chose to ignore it for the sake of having a famous band. It's sad that they ignored the basic rules and someone died as a result. Ammons is 100% to blame. White is 100% to blame. And the alumni who encouraged the administration to overlook the rules are 100% to blame. It was the perfect storm coming together and a death was inevitable in that environment. It's time for it to stop.

It just keeps getting deeper and deeper in Tallahassee. Fire them all, including the current administration who obviously can't control a bunch of musicians!

Yes that is true and I am blaming them yet us that have not even entered the band yet should not have to suffer from the mistakes of others.

I like your comment, Jess. However, this is a band, not an orchestra. LOL

I read a lot of comments, but it seems there are people out there who just don't get it. Yes.. hazing goes on at a lot of universities, however, there was a DEATH as a result of hazing at FAMU. That is the issue. Then of course there is accountability with a program who allows students to participate who are not even students of the school. What's to say a thug walking down the street would be denied entrance to the program just because he can play a harmonica?? Seriously.. that is what it's come down too.

You know, life goes on. Too bad Champions life was a victim, to put it in a situation like this.
