unfortunately the family are still trying to make them, he will be cremated and his ashes will be sent to TX as they should.
because he was a known alcohol and drug user thats why.
u r right to make ur own arrangements to have ur own closure. his ashes will be sent to TX where they belong. but to say his family didn't care enough to run an obit for him is ridiculous - if u r gonna say that them call out some names, because his FAMILY here in Tallahassee haven't had a chance due to dealing with HIS ONLY @ CHILDREN and the grief over losing their father! so get over urself and just do what U gotta do for closure!
From what I was told..there will be None here.Jason was from Texas.Sad tho..he had people here that did love and care about him! The family hasn't even ran an obituary for him!! We(his friends are trying to put together a memorial)look up John Betts on Facebook...more details there...

My condolences to the family, ignorant and insensitive comments should be just brushed away, and not even acknowledged. Yes this is a place for discussion, but hurtful comments are unnecessary and pointless. It just goes to show how divided and uncaring this world is turning. To the family i am very sorry for your loss and wish you guys the best, he may not be here physically, but he will always be watching out for you and will remain in your hearts for a lifetime.
