League of Women Voters Local Government Candidate Forum

The Tallahassee League of Women Voters, in conjunction with several other local organizations, is presenting a candidate forum on July 12, 6:00 - 8:30 p.m. at the Leroy Collins Leon County Public Library, 200 West Park Avenue, in the first floor meeting rooms. Candidates for Tallahassee City Commission seats 1 and 2 and a Leon County Commission at-large seat will be attending. There will be an introductory joint meeting, then county candidates will move to a second room for their forum while the city forum is conducted in the first room. The groups will break halfway through the evening for refreshments and to allow audience members to switch forums, if they wish. Moderator for the county forum is former county commissioner and commission chair Anita Davis. Moderator for the city forum is former city commissioner and mayor Dorothy Inman-Johnson. Candidates will be asked prepared questions as well as questions from the audience. The groups joining the League in presenting the forum are: the Council of Neighborhood Associations, the Capital Section of the American Planning Association--Florida, the American Association of University Women, Village Square, Zonta and Business Network International.
