High School Recycle Video Seen by Hundreds

Tallahassee, FL -- May 16, 2012 --- Deneige Broom

It started out as a dance teacher's idea.

Then turned it into a video circulating the Leon County School System.

A handful of Godby High students created a video to push the importance of recycling.

Over the course of weeks, they got other students and teachers involved.

Now the "Millionaire Boys" have been seen by hundreds of people.

"Really we never expected it to be this big, really we were like, let's put this together and see where it goes," said Godby senior, Kourtney Kilpatrick who worked on the video.

Raheem Allen is also a senior at Godby and used his skills outside of the classroom to help the production.

"We were already doing music outside of school for ourselves so we decided to do something inspirational to leave our mark so people know what we did while we were here," Allen.

Stefon Gavin has been rapping since middle school and it featured in the three minute video.

Kilpatrick wants to go to college for theater and dance.

They have high hopes for the future.

But right now in Tallahassee, they're getting their first taste of celebrity, and their version of groupies.

"It's exciting because everywhere I go people say, 'Weren't you the boy talking about recycling?'. I've been signing autographs," said Gavin.

Maybe, just maybe those people who recognize them will heed their message.

"R-E-C-Y-C-L-E, RECYCLE!"
