LCSO: Man Arrested for Stealing Scrap Metal from Church

On May 29, 2012, at approximately 8:00am, an undercover Leon County Sheriff’s Office detective observed Keith Cardin stealing scrap metal and brass fittings from the property of Chapel Hill Baptist Church located at 4024 North Monroe Street. Cardin advised deputies that he had been given permission by the Church to enter the property and take any scrap metal he found. During the investigation it was determined Cardin did not have permission to be on the property. Cardin was arrested for Burglary and Petit Theft.
