LIVE: FSU Baseball Team Heads to Omaha 6-13 Noon

Tallahassee, Florida - June 13, 2012 - Noon -

FSU's baseball team is on its way to Omaha for the College World Series.

There were definitely more people to see the baseball team off this morning than in years past. It wasn't a massive crowd, but they showed they're in it to see FSU win it. Getting to Omaha is what college baseball teams shoot for at the beginning of their seasons.

This isn't FSU head baseball coach Mike Martin's first time at Omaha.
This is his 15th time getting his team to the college world series, and FSU is heading there as the 3rd seed in the country.

"I'd be here if we were losing every game. We're number three right now, so hey, we're there," said FSU baseball fan Beth Burr.

The team left right around 9:30 this morning in two buses and a trailer. FSU plays Arizona on Friday in their first game.

WCTV's Sam Lane is hitting the road tomorrow to see how the Noles do and he'll keep you up to speed here on Eyewitness News and WCTV.tv.
