For some people it's recreational, for others it's their livelihood.
"I'm just worried about what's going to happen here, I still have to get it over here and get it out of the water," said James Schaub, boat owner.
James Schaub has been working diligently since Monday night to recover his boat in Panacea, Florida.
The storm almost carried it completely away.
"It crawled out over the sailboat over there and it was sitting there riding the seas."
Thankfully he says, he was able to recover it with minimal damage.
Other boaters can't quite say the same. A few we met lost their boat which they use fishing for shrimp for a living. Without their boat, it'll slow down business and put them in a bind.
For now, everyone at the Rock Landing Marina are working together and not letting the storm hold them down.
"The whole town was here trying to help," Schaub said.
At this point, people are feeling a bit of relief, but issues with flooding will continue to cause problems.
