it's got to be "under the table". What company would pay him such fees if they were to see how the city and county spend their money in such a wasteful way. Usually, if something smells, it's time to find out what's causing it.
How does Mayor Marks have the time to be involved with all these companies and organizations while serving as our mayor? I have only one job that pays a lot less and I do not have time for much more than that. Unfortunately, there is no way to check if he is claiming time as mayor while doing work for another company and vice versa. I would like to see WCTV provide an update on the criminal investigation being conducted by the FBI.
WCTV - please don't let this topic die. I realize there lied connections between the local media and the local lawmakers, but we need a thorough investigation. This city looks crooked, can we have an investigation to prove if this look is true or false?
John Marks stated that "while citizens have a constitutional right to free speech, they do not have a right to be believed." This comment was made during a televised city commission meeting and I could not agree more. John Marks is being investigated by the FBI task force. The regular contingent of FBI in our state capitol was not large enough to unwind this tangled web of deceit, corruption, and use of public office for personal gain. He can have his critics investigated at tax payers expense as he has Mr. Jackson and others...but guess what...Mr. Mayor.....The FBI is also funded by the same taxpayers. I do hope you are assigned to the same cell as Mr. Proctor. I also hope you are allowed to ride on Bus C on your way to Federal Prison.
You use a bad analogy by comparing stripes to polka dots.
This is much corruption in city hall and it will continue to grow until we prosecute the evildoers.
Marks certainly sounds defensive. And annoyed that he should have to answer such questions. Does not sound like he's the best thing for Tallahassee....
He's not a cop, or a judge. He is the mayor. We have a Police Chief that is supposed to handle the crime and thuggery.
But just like Scott, Bloomberg declined to take a salary, so the mayor of Perry makes more then the mayor of New York.
It's not about the conflict of interest, but about where the money comes from. He can be on boards, and not have any conflict of interest.
With the money Marks is making why can he not do something constructive and proactive for the City of Tallahassee. All we get is more crime day in and day out. Nothing is being done to reduce or eliminate the thuggery.
Not to mention a racist bigot.
So what's new in Tally. We all know Gillum is just as crooked at the rest. Show me an honest politician and I will start digging my grave.
I can not imagine a world where the people didn't realize Marks is as crooked as a dog's hind leg. It would surely mean there was no hope for humanity.
When I run for City Commissioner in 2014 I plan to disclose everything. I am NOT on the Board of any Corporation and I do NOT Chair on any Committee so there should NOT be any Conflict of Interest.
