Reporter: The News Service of Florida

June 21, 2012 -

Gov. Rick Scott explains how he can say that he wants Florida's higher education to be the most affordable in the nation after signing a budget that cuts higher ed funding by $300 million. He responds to a question about whether he would stop tuition increases if the Board of Governors approves them for universities this week. Scott reacts to a new poll showing his job approval rating has dropped to 39 percent and he talks about George LeMieux dropping out of the race for U.S. Senate. Scott also discusses whether he has backed off his support of the E-Verify system and he addresses his continuing push to purge noncitizens from voter rolls.
