He admitted to the police officer that he touched them inappropriately, but his lawyer stated it was a breakdown of communication because he doesn't speak english very well. Yeah right; he speaks and understands english just fine. Even his wife now about the inappropriate touching of the girls, but man those lawyers are good. The mother got that girl to recant so they could get some money, and the lawyers worked this all the way to the court. He's a liar; his wife is a liar, and the victim is a liar. The City of Tallahassee did what it was supposed to do by the policies set in place. The evidence was overwhelming at the time, but like I stated before; those lawyers and all those other liars sure can manipulate a story for their financial benefit.

loving mother? You are a turd in the tallahassee toilet bowl. Im relieved that this man was not guilty, kinda restores a little faith in Tallahassee for me. (with all the crime and thugs running rampant)Maybe you should have waited until this was over before you opened your mouth. Maybe you can recant also.

I am so furious with the quote from the prosecutor. She is "disappointed when a case ends this way." So the prosecutor would rather see an innocent man punished rather than justice. The prosecutor needs to be disbarred. When the prosecution finds out they have no grounds to prosecute, they need to have the case dismissed immediately and apologize, then, based on the evidence they have, file for prosecuting the person whose lies have ruined the live of the newly discovered victim.

This is typical in so many of these false allegations. The investigtors should have been able to pick this up along the way. I hope she is severely punished for her lie. TFD should not have fired him until proven guilty. Once again the City of Tallahassee has to get out the check book and write out a large sum of money to someone they negligently handled. Time to fire Anita.

Men have the eternal dilemma of guilty until proven innocent with molestation and domestic violence. Every time - all the time - every time. Women know this as well.

That is right. The question used to "have you ever been convicted of" it is now "Have you ever been arrested for"

I find it odd that the girl recanted the story after reading the affidavit that states that the mom knew of the abuse, and he admitted to touching their breasts inappropriatly.

No, this is not right! In the original reports there were TWO girls (his step daughters) who said he was molesting them. HE ADMITTED to it. Mom ADMITTED she knew about it as well. All of this is in the original report. No, we don't owe him an apology. No, the city doesn't owe him money and no he should not get his job back. Someone convinced the girl to change her story. Go back to the original story folks and you will see where he and his wife admitted to all of the accusations. So now he gets to go back home and start all over again? Makes me SICK!

A mucho lot of our (evil taxpayers) money was wasted.

Stupid, obviously you weren't listeneing to what was just said. It wasn't the parents but a child who didn't like the fact that her parents didn't want her dating. when you're eager to slander someone without knowing the situation, there is an issue and it lies within yourself.

Do you people really think he's innocent? You're crazy, the kids admitted it, the wife admitted it, his church admitted the counselling, and HE ADMITTED IT!!!! The legal system failed. Who wants him in the schools in October for fire prevention month with your kids? I don't.

Innocent until proven guilty? NO, fired from job based on a statement with no evidence. LCSO did a terrible job investigating this case, based on an allegation. Then even after the false victim indicates she lied, the ASA is upset the case ends this way. WHY? Because you did not get to imprison the man. More prooof there is no check and balance system in place. Poor investigation based on belief and SAO just decides to prosecute without weighing what evidence they have. It must be true right? There was a sworn statement and the employer terminated the man. No one stops to weigh the possibilities. Plus the investigating detective is not trained properly to conduct these investigations. Detective has no specialized sex crimes investigations background. Very sad.

I see the city of Tallahassee writing this man a big, big check. I doubt he'll have to work again.

Police should file criminal charges, and Colaire needs to file a civil lawsuit against her; or her parents since she isn't 18. He should be given his job back, and start back in the same position he was in before he was fired

Another case of recklessness and waste of Tallahassee Taxpayers and State of Florida resources by Mayor John Marks and his cronies at the City Hall. How much more State funds will John Marks waste before he is booted out of office by the voters in Tallahassee? We just witnessed a huge sum of money pass from state funds to the Rachel Huffman's family for lack of discipline and gross neglect of due dilligence by those entrusted to provide security for the citizens of tallahassee. Now, this is another prospective law-suit in the making. My honest opinion is that Mr. Collaire should not only be PAID FULY for the defamation of his his character, rush to judgment and unlawful loss of his job from the TFD, he should also be paid for the whole time that he was unjustly denied his livelihood, opportunity to keep his family together and all the emotional discomfort he suffered as a result of being unjustly accused and fired from from his job. Rick Scott should probe John Marks for his dereliction of duty and for continuing to subject the State of Florida to waste of funds used in paying for judgments at a time when the State is seriously suffering from lack of Funds. Enough of this nonsense. It is time for John Marks to be disgraced out of office from the city hall. He has shown by his actions that he is not fit for the task of leqading a city. He is a disgrace to the African American community any day!
