This is for One More Thing: What do you read that says A littler bit of Common Sense condones abusive behavior from either gender???? Because that is NOT what I read at all. I read that the proverbial "It's always men who abuse" isn't neccessarily the case here. Not that they condone men OR women who abuse. However, women are not the only ones who have the right to defend and protect themselves (if this is in fact what really happened). This young man had and still has every right to defend himself from ANYONE who tries to physically harm him!!! I am really sorry but when you attack someone regardless or not if they are stronger than you then you need to understand that person has the right to defend themselves. You- are the sad one here!!

Mostly encompasses an area bound by Tennessee Street to the south, Monroe Street to the west, 7th Avenue to the north, and Magnolia Drive to the east. There are lots of bars and restaurants along Monroe and Thomasville Road that cater to young professional types.

Bottom line, if you want to go out and have a good time leave the husband at home. This never wouldhave happened if he wasn't there with the gal. People in a good marriage can stand to spend a night apart while the woman goes out drinking and the husband can go out on his own as well.

Um... it's in the MIDDLE of TOWN.

Why do you assume that men want to go out and drink?

We don't know that he was abusing her. If you were in a car with someone who was abusing you and you were stopped, and then you were getting out of the car (someone saw that she had her legs out of the car like getting out, then saw her get back in), would you have gotten back in if you were being abused? NO. You would have gotten out of the car and run. It sounds like he wanted to get away from her and wanted her out of the car. If he had been abusing her she would have exited the car. It sounds like she wanted to stay in the car and create a drama since she did not exit the car. More likely, He was trying to get her out of the car to escape HER.

I do teach my daughter to avoid dangerous situations. However, I also teach my sons self-control and ownership of their actions.
