From 5:30 to 7:30 Thursday evening, Tallahassee residents can weigh in on the 2013 city budget at the Walker-Ford Community Center. They have the opportunity to voice their concerns to city leaders.
City commissioners haven't even started making any decisions about the budget for 2013. They want to hear from residents first. Residents will be asked to vote on two topics. First what are the highest and lowest priorities are in a variety of areas. Second, they will be asked what services they would be willing to pay more for or do without.
This is the first of three meetings. This first meeting is at the Walker-Ford Community Center. The next meeting is Monday at the Tallahassee Senior Center from 4pm to 6pm. The third meeting is next Wednesday at Gilcrest Elementary from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.
If you can't make the meeting, go to talgov.com and you'll find an online budget survey.
