If they haze they should loose all they money and have to pay for school themselves. Too many get all that free money and then not be responsible.

The parents only care about the 'child' (26yr old child, how telling) because of the money they are going to attempt to extort from the bus company and the Florida tax payers, nothing more.

It is unfair to expect performers to be enrolled in a school they represent. The bus driver should have checked their enrollment and immigration status prior to their boarding. The University is responsible for obtaining enough grant money to support the acdults who can dance well but not read or play music because of the African Americans with Disabilities Act.The bus driver should have enforced that law too. Ammons should obtain hero status because he know how to work the media and get us enough money.

I do not understand how many of you do not feel that the bus driver, who allowed this to take place on her bus and who stood guard during this beating and did nothing to prevent it or stop it once it began, is free from any responsibility whatsoever in this outcome. I feel sorry for the bus company OWNER who will probably have to pay for his employee's poor judgement.

Not in the eye of the law. What are you working for the defense team?

This whole idea of being beaten by others (who have also been beaten) in order to gain their "acceptance" and "respect" makes me very sad. What does it say about a group (the band) when earning respect is through something so horrific and negative as physical assault? Doesn't it may more sense to earn respect through musicianship or some activity that is positive and uplifting? Beating each other is the most self destructive thing--case in point, Mr. Champion is now dead. And please rethink the position that some of you take where you blame the victim. Another self destructive approach. If he was guilty of anything it was probably some immaturity and poor judgment that sucked him into a culture that convinced him he needed to be beaten in order to belong.

I think you mean "his thinking is moot..." Not mute--mute means "can't speak". Moot means "doubtful, not actual, no longer of consequence."

Why hasn't Ammons been fired? He allowed hazing even though he knew it was against the rules. It's there in the paperwork!

arrest the ones that did the assault. Why is it the "culture" that everyone else should be held accountable for what they did, but then. Typical

His thinking is mute. Their think is not. He is dead, they are in trouble. They are loosing everything and they still plan to continue attacking future students if they are let go.,

Amen. They broke the law. It was an organized attack that led to his death. They do not get it. They not only are trying to justify this death, they want to justify the future death they plan to do as well.
