Reporter: Eyewitness Sports

Valdosta, GA -- April, 10, 2012 --

The Valwood School apparently found its next Head Valiant. The independent high school in Valdosta named Ashley Henderson as head coach at Valwood Monday afternoon.

Henderson replaces Brannon Tidwell who resigned earlier this year in favor of moving to South Carolina for the same role. Henderson is no stranger to the Azalea City. He spent the past 8 seasons as an assistant at Valdosta High School. Prior to that he was a student-assistant on both Chris Hatcher’s and David Dean’s coaching staff at Valdosta State University.

Henderson played on the offensive line at Georgia Tech and Valdosta State University.
