The Seminoles got it done against the UCLA Bruins, winning 4-1 and advancing in the College World Series. The team has fans on campus buzzing about their chances.

"I'm really excited, to my knowledge they've never won a world series, it'd be really awesome to be here to witness them to win one," said FSU graduate student Jonathan Sunshine.

Throughout their rich history, a College World Series Championship has eluded the 'Noles. They haven't played for one since 1999 when they fell to the Miami Hurricanes.

"I know we've been there a lot but from the way they're playing this might be the year that we have it," said student Nicholas Kostakis.

Not lost on fans watching the game was the pitching performance of Scott Sitz, and his new facial hair. 6.2 innings, eight strikeouts, and one epic mustache.

"I think he's rocking it. Pretty awesome mustache if you ask me, he's got a nice '70's look to it," laughed Kostakis.

FSU alum Bob Lutz has an idea for fans in Omaha: wear fake mustaches in the stands for an intimidation factor.

"That would be awesome! That should be a requirement. FSU fan's ticket gets scanned and then they put their mustache on."
